NEW EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT:
NCHS would like to welcome Mrs. Billie Jean Fulton to the Rocket family! Mrs. Fulton is a 1981 graduate of Louisville High School. After working in industry for 10 years, she became a non-traditional student at East Central Community College and completed her Bachelor's of Science in Secondary Education at MSU Summa Cum Laude in May of 1995. She returned to MSU to complete a M.S. in Secondary Education in 2001 and a M.A. in History in 2005. She has been certified by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards since 2006. She worked in Choctaw County Schools at Ackerman High School for 16 years. While there she received multiple Teacher of the Year awards, was chosen as STAR Teacher twice, and received Choctaw County Teacher of the Year in 2007. She has taught at Louisville High School for the last 10 years and received Teacher of the Year in 2015 and 2017. Another highlight of her teaching career was being interviewed by NBC Lead Education correspondent Rheema Ellis for a segment on the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks which aired on Sunday Today with Willie Geist in September 2021.
She is married to Jody Fulton of Louisville and they have two daughters, Jessica and Lorynn, six grandchildren, and two "fur babies". In her eisure time she enjoys spending time on the Tenn-Tom waterway, traveling, and scrapbooking.
