Meridian, MS --- It’s Carnival Time at Merrehope and she’s dazzling in her fabulous Meridian Mardi Gras attire. Some of your favorite local designers and decorators have gone all out and the beautiful 24 room Neo-Classical mansion is simply looking spectacular.
Everyone is invited to experience the Second Annual Meridian Mardi Gras Pre-Parade Party scheduled for Friday, February 17, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. in Meridian, Mississippi. The fun kicks off with live jazzy entertainment and light Mardi Gras party fare New Orleans style.
New this year will be the area’s very first “STELLA” Shout Out. Guys and gals will be giving their very best “Stella” yell, mimicking Marlon Brando, alias “Stanley” from Tennessee Williams’ 1951 New Orleans based hit “A Street Car Named Desire.” You can come give it your best yell or just listen.
Some lucky folks will win Mardi Gras door prizes and raffles. And . . . you know there will be fun Merrehope Mardi Gras surprises.
It’s BYOB with $15 admission at the door and $10 for students. Throw some beads around your neck, dress all out in Mardi Gras attire or come as you are. Wake up Saturday morning and head to downtown for the Meridian Mardi Gras Parade.
