A storm system will move through the region tonight through Wednesday, bringing with it the potential for severe thunderstorms. Any severe storms could produce tornadoes, damaging winds up to 70mph and large hail.
The combination of previously saturated soils and the potential of heavy rainfall between 2 and 4 inches, with locally higher amounts in the Elevated areas, will likely cause flash flooding tonight through Wednesday.
Strong winds will be possible ahead of storms tonight into early Wednesday morning. Sustained winds of 20-25 mph and gusts up to 40 mph will be possible. Secure any loose items that may be out for the holiday season.
