Guidance on Clearing and Removing Storm Debris for Lauderdale County Residents

Over the past couple of weeks, Lauderdale County (LC) has been in the

path of some pretty serious storms and we are so thankful that damage

to personal property has been minimal.  However, most of us have had

tree limbs and other debris litter our yards.

Clearing of storm debris by LC Road and Bridges Dept. will only occur if the fallen debris is in the road, or the road's right-of-way, and impedes the flow of traffic or has created an unsafe driving condition.

What to do with the tree limbs that has fallen into your yard?

Currently, LC does not have a door-to-door debris pick up service so

residents can either hull that debris off to a landfill or safely burn

them (as a county resident).

We hope this answers and addresses your concerns with storm debris removal.
